Summary:
Also a little tricky for a full size coach, better to take a school minibus to navigate some bends in the road! Private Art Hotel and Gardens run by a very friendly couple. The admission is very reasonable and you ought to go for a free visit first to plan your day.
The gardens are set on a hillside and dozens of sculptures of varying size, material and subject are positioned in interesting spots. Its a great placce to explore as sudents can't go anywhere else. There are sculpture benches to sit on and draw the objetcs. There is a gallery area inside which acts as a shop, however this is for art enthusiasts rather than children. The objects are superb but there for sale not really as a reference.
Inside the hotel there is a dining room for guests and toilet facilites. I would reccommend that you send students to the toilet in pairs or small groups.
Our students loved it, I took back leaflets for the staff at school and several of them then went to visit too....
