Cross curricular trip to Cadbury's World

by laura on 27th January 2009
Department:
History
Year Group:
Key Stage 1
Venue Region:
West-Midlands
Town:
Bourneville
Summary:
This was great for our 'Yummy Scrumptious' cross curricular theme. We learnt all about the history of chocolate, the Aztecs and how chocolate was made. The venue was perfect for the children to move around in. We regret not arriving earlier and leaving later as there is lots to do and we had to miss some things out. We did not allow the children to go into the shop however teachers did buy chn a couple of treats and included these in the price of the trip. They were very generous with the free chocolate that they provided!
Venue: Cadbury's World
Benefit:
Plus points:
5 adults free
Very helpful staff!
A good educational talk.
Lots of free chocolate!!
Minus points:
Small area for the children to eat- get in there early!
Avoid letting young children bring money.
Overall:
