If you think that is is too risky to take students to London - really don't worry. It is a worth while trip. Contacting a tour agency, who does it all, is the best way - you tell them the kind of things your group will like to do & they work it all out. Covent graden is a great place inbetween events in London - it 's farely safe (as long as you keep your money well hiden) I have done this type of trip many times - all the London locations are great - and easy with a large group. They also love the musicals - and going with a group means it much cheaper - we paid £45 for the whole day incluing M. Tussauds entry, coach & show!

The whole day was fantatsic - it was a reward trip for the students who offer peer counselling in our College. They were so well behavied, and loved being in the big city. The trip really enpowered the students to time mange, map read and get on with students from other year groups. One of the 6th formers actually organised the trip with my guidance which was fantatsic!

We had a few problems with the transport - it was late arriving to pick us up. The driver got lots in London! But we still had agreat day.
Benefit:
The studenets had such a great time, some of them have not left ethri home town thus an amazing opprtunity! Team building was enhanced. Time keeping, independance - they had to meet the staff at set points but where allowed to shop around london in their free time.
