Polka Theatre Trip

by CharlieB on 4th November 2008
Department:
Primary
Year Group:
Key Stage 1
Venue Region:
London
Town:
Wimbledon
Summary:
As a fun day out trip for key stage 1, this was exciting and a buzz for the kids. The Polka Theatre is well targeted at the children and the performances vary regularly, being linked to the curriculum.
Venue: Polka Theatre, Wimbledon
Venue caters for educational children's theatre - the play we saw was "Charlie and Lola". Venue was easy to find but has no parking for coaches etc. Very atmospheric and exciting atmosphere. The interior is very visually stimulating.
Benefit:
The visit was more as an end of term treat for the kids but could see that this could be a useful trip for foundation subjects.
Plus points:
Venue was exciting and visually stimulating for the kids.

Staff were very friendly
Minus points:
The performance was disappointing and not necessarily educational. I advise you to check reviews of performances before attending.
Overall:
