Summary:
pupils had a great trip, they loved the fact that they are out of the classroom and actually experiencing the accommodation and being in the dorm at night and telling the ghost stories, great considering the museum of witchcraft is just behind the youth hostel.
Food at the Cobweb was great and pupils really feel like they are in the adult world and choosing their meals.

great all encompassing village, ideal for a smaller group of pupils. Small amount of shops, but all happy to accept the pupils. Variety of shops and accommodation present
Accommodation:
Boscastle Youth Hostel
excellent accommodation, refurbished since the 2004. rooming for pupils in good quality rooms with heating and sink.

Benefit:
to enhance their understanding of the accommodation on offer in the form of Youth Hostel that many of them had not experienced and the fact that their parents had stereotypical views of old fashioned dormitaries and bunk beds. Also the possibility to look at a tourist resort out of season and discuss what the village has to offer all tourists.
Plus points:
Cobweb Inn - great for food, easy to book in advance and great prices.
Youth Hostel - great management and willing to share information about the association and also give a talk providing questions are e-mailed in advance.
Good at the end of October as village is winding down and so less people around.
Minus points:
car park is a little walk, but easy to access the youth hostel with cars and then go and park
