What makes this a great venue for School group Fun or Educational Visits?

Adventure Okehampton is a licensed adventure centre specialising in providing activity holidays for schools. Our friendly and knowledgeable staff with over 10 years experience in the industry will work carefully with you planning your itinerary.

Groups are guided through their chosen activities by experienced and qualified staff, who will use the opportunity to maximize on individuals potential, we aim to encourage and push boundaries in an entertaining and safe environment.

What are the Curriculum Topics or Benefit to the students from a visit?

Our exciting breaks offer activities breaks that aim to create bonds and help children get to know each other while building confidence, teamwork and effective communication.
Our activities will develop trust and motivation together with a fantastic trip that will leave a lifetime memory. They will go home with new skills plus all the benefits of the great outdoors!

What are the activities?

We offer a wide range of outdoor activities such as Team games, Low ropes, Archery, Bush craft, climbing wall, weaseling, high ropes, rock climbing, gorge scrambling, kayaking, canoeing, raft building, orienteering, pony trekking, surfing.

What is the age range of the activities?

Most activities are suitable for 5 years and over.

What are the minimum and maximum group sizes and the free Teacher Ratio?

. Based at one of our three modern centres around Okehampton we have accommodation to suit all group sizes ranging from 10-125 people. Groups will receive one free leader place per ten children.

Do you have or how do you arrange risk assessment?

All our centres and activities have risk assessment.

Do you offer Teacher familiarisation days?

We welcome teachers to visit us and we can go to parent’s evenings

What facilities are there for school groups for food and drink, shop etc?

All our packages are full board. We have a small shop on site.

Do you have first aid on site?

We have plenty of first aiders on site

We can offer residential trips form one to four nights or day visits.
