Opening Times

Open every day (expect 24th, 25th, 26th December & 1st January) 1st October to 31st March, 10:00am – 4:30pm and 1st April to 30th September, 9:30am – 5:30pm (summer holidays open until 6pm).

What makes this a great venue for School group Fun or Educational Visits?

Being able to get into exhibits and ride in the vehicles. Hands-on learning and learning through role play.

What are the Curriculum Topics or Benefit to the students from a visit?

We cover key stage 1,2,3,4 and HE. We liaise with schools to ensure that we cover the areas of the NC that they require during their visit.

What are the activities?

Tour of the Museum, containing over 400 cars and motorcycles from all decades of our motoring history. Hands-on, interactive tour with role play. We also offer driving experiences.

What is the age range of the activities?

4 years of age.

The content of a visit is completely flexible. Our aim is to make the day an enjoyable, stimulating and enriching experience for all that visit.

Classroom discussions, Museum tours, Car rides, Children's playroom, Quiz sheets, and Fun activities - how many children can you get into a Cadillac!

What materials to you provide or suggest groups bring to support the visit?

Educational Packs; Booklets: Pre-school, Key Stage 1, the umbiquitous Mini, motor car design from WW1 to 19980; Marketing and Museum Quiz Sheets.

What are the minimum and maximum group sizes and the free Teacher Ratio?

One adult in every 10 admitted free, although this is flexible depending on ages and needs.

Do you have or how do you arrange risk assessment?

Yes we have risk assessments.

Do you offer Teacher familiarisation days?

Yes we do.

What facilities are there for school groups for food and drink, shop etc?

We have a cafe, a dedicated education block including classroom and library, and a shop.

No
