9-17:30 Tuesday to Thursday Term time
We offer free of charge, flexible visits for all age groups and many subject areas. Each visit is taylored to suit the group. We have a fantastic new education centre, kindly donated by Hampshire Council to be used as a base once we have been around the farm.
Science, Geography, English, Art, Maths, Business Studies, Food Technology and many more can be catered for.
Plant a herb salad, bottle feeding calves and many other opportunities for being 'interactive' at the farm!
From Reception up to adult education.
Tour of the farm stopping at chickens and pigs - feed the pigs.
Visit the dairy and meet the dairy manager, followed by bottle feeding the calves.
Visit the walled garden, identify the vegetables growing and then plant a herb salad.
Visits are free of charge, we are a charity! There are no minimum or maximum group sizes - each group is discussed individually with the education centre staff. We recommend you use Local Authority guidelines for the pupil to teacher ratio.
All group leaders must attend a pre-visit where the plan for the day is created and the risk assessment is completed.
Teachers attend the pre-visit and this includes a brief tour of the farm.
Two large flexible rooms with ICT facilities. Toilets and water fountains are available. Packed lunches are needed.
Wellies and clothing suitable for the weather on the day of the visit.
We carry a first aid kit on visits but ask schools to provide their own first aider.
