Opening Times

The offices at the theatre are open Monday to Friday 10am till 5pm.
The box office is open Mon-Fri 10am-5pm, Sat 10am-4pm. On show nights the box office stays open until 15 minutes after the show starts.

What makes this a great venue for School group Fun or Educational Visits?

The Princess Theatre is keen to provide the 'audience of tomorrow' with the opportunity to see how a large touring theatre works. We offer backstage tours, a varied programme of shows, question and answer sessions and workshops with touring companies.

What are the Curriculum Topics or Benefit to the students from a visit?

We currently look at our programme and tie in the shows with school curriculums and produce a newsletter that identify these links.

Dependant on the productions - pre school to university level

What materials to you provide or suggest groups bring to support the visit?

For certain shows, Teacher's Education Packs are available - please ask at time of booking for more information.

What are the minimum and maximum group sizes and the free Teacher Ratio?

School group prices start for groups of 10 or more. The free teacher ratio does depend on the show, but is usually 1 in 10 free.

Do you offer Teacher familiarisation days?

Teacher familiarisation visits can be arranged.

What facilities are there for school groups for food and drink, shop etc?

We have an onsite cafe/restaurant

Are there any restrictions on photos, copyright etc?

There a certain show restrictions on the use of cameras and recording equipment during a show. Please check with member of staff.
